The 22nd KCM Master U1800 FIDE Rated Classical Tournament concluded with an exciting finale, showcasing two days of intense classical chess action. With 98 enthusiastic players competing across 8 Swiss rounds, this edition once again proved why the KCM Master series remains one of Malaysia’s most trusted and well-run grassroots classical tournaments.
The event was proudly organized by Kelab Catur Melati, Aufa Najah Global and Catur.info continuing our mission to provide a professional, player-focused tournament platform that encourages growth, performance, and fair competition for Malaysian chess players of all ages.
Champion: Yap Ray Jin Shines with 7/8
A big congratulations goes to Yap Ray Jin, who delivered an impressive performance to claim the Champion’s title with 7.0 points out of 8 rounds. His consistency and board discipline stood out in a field packed with rising talents and experienced competitors.
