The 15th edition of the KCM Master U1800 FIDE Rated Classical tournament kicked off at the Nexus Hotel on July 20, 2024. Organized by Kelab Catur Melati, the event has attracted a competitive field of 122 players from various schools and clubs across Malaysia and neighboring countries.

The tournament is being conducted in a Swiss-system format with 8 rounds, featuring a standard time control of 30 minutes plus 30 seconds increment per move. With an average rating of 1519, the competition has been intense, reflecting the diverse skill levels and experiences of the participants. So far, 4 rounds have been completed, with the remaining 4 rounds scheduled for tomorrow, July 21, 2024.
